-------------------------1.8 Release Notes (8/17/2018)-------------------------

M-RETS is continuing to push forward and we’ve just finished another exciting batch of features.

View the Status of Current and Past Invoices

As of this morning, you can now view all of your 2018 invoices right in the tracking system. Please click the following link for our walk-through on this new process. http://help.mrets.org/invoices/view-the-status-of-current-and-past-invoices

View Invoice Transactions

When viewing invoices, you can now drill in and see what transactions were included in a specific invoice.

Update your Billing Contact

You can now also view and update your organization’s billing contact right in the system. Please click the following link for our walk-through on this new process. http://help.mrets.org/user-and-permissions-management/updateadd-your-billing-contact-information

Control Access to Billing and Invoice Information

This functionality also came with a new set of user permissions that allow an organization admin to limit who has access to invoice details. Your invoices will still arrive to your designated billing contact via email.

Transactions Tab

The Transaction tab is the new home of Transaction History and Pending Transactions. For an updated tour of the new Transactions Tab, click the following link

http://help.mrets.org/rec-management/withdrawingacceptingrejecting-transfers

Updated User Interface

We have refactored the user interface to streamline your use of the portal. Irrelevant tabs should no longer be present. The most noticeable changes will be for Qualified Reporting Entities (QREs).

Additional Improvements

Other improvements we’ve released in the past couple of months include:

  • We’re added new filters to the Transaction History view.
  • The system now sends email notifications for internal and external transfers, issuances, retirements, and exports. (If you missed our notice about this earlier this summer, read about how to update your notification permissions <http://help.mrets.org/user-and-permissions-management/email-notifications>. The default of the system is to NOT send email notifications.)

Users can now download a transaction receipt for historical transactions with the click of a button from the Transaction History view.

-------------------------1.3 Release Notes (3/23/2018)-------------------------

We have been quite busy the past weeks and are excited to make several big feature development announcements:

Projects

The projects feature was released this morning! This was a huge batch of new functionality including the ability to view project details in a multi-tab layout, create new projects, and update existing projects.

We’re very excited about the improvements we’ve made to this area of the platform. We now support a workflow that includes drafts. The only attribute that will be necessary to start a new project is the name. From there, you can enter the rest of the project details in as many sessions as you like until the necessary info is entered for project submittal. When a project is submit for approval, it will move to pending status and the system admin will get notice that it is ready to be reviewed.

After a project is approved, if you want to go back and make changes, there are many fields that will require that the project return to pending status until we review the changes. We’ve implemented notifications in the UI to let users know when a project will be removed from active status to have new data attributes reviewed. While a project is in pending status, no RECs can be issued. Our goal is to review all of these changes in a timely manner, so this turn-around should be no more than 2 business days.

Some of the projects that were brought over from the old system were missing pieces of information that we feel should be included. These projects created in the new system as they were given to us, but when entering edit mode, you will be required to fill in this missing data before updating any aspect of the project.

If you were waiting for new projects to be approved and loaded, we loaded those into the system as well today. Let us know if everything looks correct.

Reports

Reports will be a fast-follow to the projects release and will start this coming Monday. By end of the day Monday you should start seeing incremental changes to the functionality of tables and downloads including the ability to download filtered tables and an improved user interface that will allow for the selection of specific columns.

Next week we will be releasing new reports daily. Most organization and regulator reports should be available by the end of the week.

We really appreciate everyone’s patience as we’ve been working through bugs and new feature development over the past months. We excited to have the system a giant leap closer to feature parity with the old system. This journey has not been without bumps. Thanks to everyone who has reported bugs and provided feedback along the way.

E-mail Notifications

The system is now sending email notifications for transfers and retirements. Over the coming weeks we will add additional email notifications for issuances, pending transfers, and imports/exports.

-------------------------1.1 Release Notes (1/8/2018)-------------------------

The new M-RETS has the goal of providing parity functionality to the old system within a short time. We are also excited to continue expanding the functionality of the system to better serve our users. We look forward to hearing your feedback in order to make the system work better for you. Below are few notes out-lining the current status of the 1.1 release on January 8th and rough dates for future feature releases.

Organizations (formerly Accounts) and Users

The system supports organization accounts that can have many associated user accounts with different permissions. These users and permissions were brought over from the old system and should be equivalent. All users should have received an invite email to the new system.

In the first release of the new system, the functionality to create new users and edit permissions is not accessible yet. This will be available in January 2018. Please contact the System Administrator if you have an urgent immediate need to update current users or add an additional user.

Accounts (Formerly Subaccounts)

Organizations can have many associated active and retirement accounts (formerly referred to as subaccounts), similar to the old system. These accounts were transferred over from the old system and should contain the exact same RECs as in the old system. Please report any observed data discrepancies to the System Administrator.

In the first release of the new system, the ability to create accounts is not available yet. This will be added in January 2018. Please contact the System Administrator if you have an urgent immediate need to update an existing account or add an additional account.

Managing RECs

The new system supports both transferring and retiring RECs.

A user can transfer a REC to another Active Account or another Organization within M-RETS. RECs can also be transferred to another tracking system. Contact the System Administrator to facilitate this. The system supports the functionality to retire RECs to any Retirement Account.

In the initial release, the new system does not yet support Standing Orders or Forward Transfers. There are plans add this functionality sometime during Q1 of 2018.

Projects

Organizations can have many generator projects, which can log generation. All projects and generation was transferred over from the old system.

For project registration requests, please contact Rosie Hoyem at [email protected]. We now have a process in place to process registrations while we are waiting for this feature to go live within the actual system.

Generation

As in the old system, generation data can be self-reported or provided by a Qualified Reporting Entity. Self-reported generation can be uploaded via the interface with CSV spreadsheets. See this article for more information on formatting requirements. This feature is now active.

Reports

All reports that were available in the old system, will be available in the new system. A new public report portal will be available in January 2018. In the meantime, available reports can viewed by clicking on the reports tab. If you are looking for something that does not appear to be available, contact the System Administrator.

For further help diving into the system visit our full help library. Here you will see articles on Transferring RECs, Retiring RECs, or Uploading Generation. See slides from a recent training we delivered on December 7th for more details on functionality available in the new system.
